Kingston, Canberra

I'm taking 2 young kids to Canberra to visit a cousin and see the Floriade in September. I like the look and price of Medina Classic serviced apartments (about $200/night) in Kingston. Has anyone stayed there or have recommendation for a hotel or serviced apartment near city centre?

Any helpful information much appreciated.

Cheers,
Mrs JTL

And you're leaving the biggest kid home alone? Is that sensible?

I know it's probably not that sensible but someone has to pay for the flights and hotel, you know. ;)

Thanks for that, Rambi. I'll give them a call to see if they've got vacancies.

During our first week in Canberra last November we had to abandon our camping plans because of the rain and stayed here instead:

Best Western Sundown Motel Resort Canberra
Jerrabomberra Avenue Narrabundah ACT 2604

It's not central and to get anywhere from it you'll need your car but it's an easy drive to the centre. Good, clean and reasonably priced.

We booked a one bedroomed apartment with a kitchenette and two single beds in the lounge for the four of us (all @ adult rates) through Wofif.com and paid $720 for 5 weekday nights. It would prob work out a fair bit cheaper for you because you are three and two are very definately children.
