Ive been searching for a kids guide to Oz theres loads for adults but nothing so far for kids.
Just wanted something easy for kids to read that detailed a bit of history and Ozzy way of life and that kinda stuff !!!

Any ideas or recommendations gratefully received!!

How old are your kids?
It's not on day to day life but a really good book is "Are we there yet?" by Alison Lester. It's also a great book to send back as a birthday/ christmas present when you live here! It follows the journey of a family round Australia as they take 6 months or a year out (which families do here) and travel round the whole of Oz. It tells you interesting facts about each place. I'd say it can go from 3 yo's - 10 yo's, easy reading but very interesting.

I am not sure if you remember a programme on BBC1 i believe "Wild downunder" they made a book out of the series, mainly in pictures, i believe its worth it, i know its not exactly history or way of life, but its about aussie nature and beauty, i loved it.
