Default Keeping UK credit cards

I have a UK credit card which I want to keep. However, I am planning on changing my postal address to my Oz one. I was wondering if anyone has had any experiences of the credit card being cancelled as you are no longer registered in the UK? I am with Natwest

You have two options, redirect your mail....you can do this for 3 years, or, advise of a change of postal address to your Credit Card authority. We still have UK bank account and cards and have been here for 5 years nearly and just changed our postal address.

I've kept my Nationwide card and Barclays account, both have our Australian address.

I think it's a bit difficult if you want to start a new account from here, though - so I wouldn't try to change banks or anything like that.

I wouldn't make the change at the last minute though. If the bank has any reservations about you changing to a foreign address you might get a letter notifying you about this and giving you the chance to show a local address again before automatic card cancellation.

First Direct have been happy with us changing to Australia> UK> Aus, and have phoned me in Aus to check everything is OK.

We also have a tesco CC, which I thought they would cancel when we moved, but they have accepted the change of address and even send my clubcard points to me in Aus!

I changed my address to in laws, and changed to online statements.
