Default Keen to meet Brits on the Northern Beaches

Hi there!

My man and I have just moved to Oz from Portsmouth and we're wondering if there are any groups of expat poms around the Northern Beaches area we can get to know. Or a sporting group (ie. football) that is made up of Poms that we could join?

We both crave a bit of interaction with people from the UK.It would be cool to talk to people who understand a bit about what we miss from the UK.

If anyone knows of a group, or if you're keen to meet up for a beer (we just had a baby so this may be a litle bit of a challenge!) please drop me a line.

Thanks!

Mel (Aussie ex Portsmouth) and Mark (born and bred Pompey)

Hi ,

There is definitely a group of expats who meet and play football weekly and socialise together. I don't know where or when, put your message on POMs in OZ site under NSW surburbs as well and hopefully someone will pick it up who knows the details.

Good Luck

there is also a group of mums of toddlers/ladies with older kids who meet on the first Tuesday of the month for coffee/lunch, usually in child friendly places, and there are summer trips to beaches etc which should come up in the long school hols. Look out for FTC.
And welcome!

Is this first tuesday meet up still happening? We arrived 3 months ago and I would be interested in the coming along. Where do I find out if they are happening and the locations? I live in Collaroy and all my children are now at school.

It seems to have lapsed on here- maybe we need someone new to arrange meet ups. Happy to meet new folks for coffee/chocolate and chat- I live in St Ives.

Hi there. I live in Curl Curl. Been here for 3.5 years. All kids at school too. Do you fancy meeting up after schools go back in the new term sometime?
