Default A karma problem

This week I have received 3 pieces of karma, so 6 points. Despite this, my karma point total is still the same as it was last week... am a bit confused.
I just wondered if anyone else has noticed something similar to this? I'm not worried about whether I do or dont get it, but when I do it'd be nice for it to be recognised at least

Some people don't actually give any points, some people give huge amounts...all depends on how much karma they have...

No, everybody's karma offerings are worth a different amount of points, depending on their current reputation. Everyone can give karma but if you're reputation is low / non-existent then you might not give any points.

Feel free to karma me and I'll tell you what you're worth

I'm new to this forum, so I was wondering what Karma points are and how they work.
