Just wanted to say hi!!!
We are new on this site and just wanted to say hi to everyone. We are hoping to move to Perth in September 07 under a skilled visa and Grant's job is on the MODL list so hopefully it won't take too long.
Very excited and so are the kids, i think they are expecting to see kangaroo's hoping about everywhere and want a koala for a pet!!

I'm very new to this page aswell. We're hoping to head out to perth next year hopefully sept 08. I'm a student nurse and hubbys a plumber. We've got 2 kids, Jake will be 15 and Kyah will be 11.
Where in Essex are you ? We're Essex people aswell.

Hi Nicky, yes i know saffron waden we had friends there. I was up at stanstead in dec, flying off to cologne for a girly weekend !!!
Not really sure where we want to head in perth, hubby has a cousin there who lives in kinross.
I'm a student nurse so we'll need to be near a hospital for me and we also need good schools for the kids.
Any idea where you want to go ?

Hi Helen, we are looking at Secret Harbour at the moment, it looks lovely but a bit pricey also the primary school is supposed to be very good.
I think we will probably start there and then look around when we get there, also its right by the sea which we really want.
So excited, can't wait to get there now!!

we are pretty new to this site too, some good info off it.
we are looking to move to WA around sept / oct. my skill is also on MODL, so visa will hopefully go through quickly.
we went on holiday to perth for 4 weeks in december, loved it!!! visited secret harbour. I think that's where we will settle, really nice for kids.

We are from Budapest/Hungary/Europe... at least we are considered as a part of Europe since two years.
The main focus is at Melbourne so far, we have frends there and hopefully there home will be a first base there for the first couple of weeks.
If you have any time to share some thoughts (everybody is welcome) I would prefer private emails, to preserve the other forum members from irrelevant info.

Hi All,
We are also going for TRA as my husband is a plasterer and looking at Perth. I have a daughter 15 and son 11. We currently live in Malaga Spain but we lived in Sawbridgeworth in Hertfordshire which is near the Essex Border. Just sorting all paperwork out now and sending off to the agent next week. We have friends out in Perth who live in Ocean Reef and he is a dry liner and doing very well for himself We will probably rent first and have a good look around till we buy as I am not too sure on schools etc for my son.My daughter is at college now in Spain doing a City and guilds in Hairdressers so hopefully she will get a apprenticeship when she comes out with her. She is not to keen as living all her mates but I am sure she will meet plenty of new ones.

All the best with the TRA you'll love Perth we did when we were out for a holiday in December. Can't wait to come out for good if all goes well.
