Just wanted to say Hi!!!
Im a bit of a lurker im afraid,
Hubby and I are off to Oz on the 4th Dec.
I cant believe we have got so far through this before i discovered this place
I hope to add some pearls off my own now rather than just benifiting from all of you.
We are at:
House sold
Resignations given
Shipping sent
flights booked
swinging between euphoria and panic at the moment.
anyway just wanted to introduce myself, before i start popping in.

Hi HB. We are also at virtually the same stage, working my notice, completion date on the house, shipping is being collected on Monday and as soon as I get a finishing date at work we'll be booking flights

Goin to Perth
Our basic choice was Perth or Sydney
Mr HB has a sister in Perth and a sister in Sydney, i have a sister in Sydney.
We are in the very fortunate position of having some money behind us so if Jobs are hard to come by then we will change later down the line but it makes things easier with family to stay with from Day one.
We are both happy to look for jobs in any field, Mr HB is in IT (no groans) but very specialist high end stuff - he fancies a change anyway but already has the Oz end of two companies he works with here talking to him - so we will see, might not come to anything.
The money was meant to buy us a house but maybe he will go back and study for something else............
We want to wait till the new year anyway, before working as i dont suppose we will get to take many 6 week holidays once real life starts aggain.
