just to say HI!.
hi
we are hoping to migrate to australia in the near future( just got the ball rolling) so all advice welcome. hoping to land in perth and advice on this?
we would like to hear your stories of how you are finding australian life.
also any tips regarding all the paper work involved.
i forgot to say that i currently live in northern ireland. so massive hi to all the epats form northern ireland.

Hello and welcome to the forum,
We are moving to Oz in 8 weeks, we have got our visa and sold the house so just waiting to complete and then we are off!

We looked into PR but now got a sponsorship through an employer, which is a temporary visa, hopefully leading to pr.
We have front loaded our meds and police checks, some people advise this and some people say wait until your are requested to do so. In the end you have to make your own mind up. Just remember that the meds and police checks last for 12months, so if your visa has not been granted you will have to do them again!! Our medicals cost about £850 and police checks £10 each, so it is up to you!
