British Expats - just got back

well we have just got back after a 7 week look around to decide if we really want to emigrate to aus.
we were based in geelong which is just outside melbourne, but we did have a travel around going up as far as brisbane looking in on sydney and canberra on the way.
and yes we have decided this is the place for our family. it seems great for kids, plenty of outdoor activities, fairly cheap housing, and just an all round feeling of this would be a good place to live.
although there is obviously not such good places to be over there. we were amazed at how clean and tidy places were in genral. where in england could you have bbq areas were you can hire a brick electric or gas bbq without it being vandalised within a few weeks. we came accross lots of these and they all seemed in working order and clean. not even graffitti.
we found people very friendly in genral with a real helpfull attitude. and every one seemed to say they thought it was a good place for a young family to grow up in.
