Just arrived in Perth, now work for Nurses??
Hi all, ive just arrived (about a month ago) in Perth after living in NZ for a couple of years, at the moment im waiting for my registration to come through from APHRA and then will be looking to start work asap. So far no luck though, havent even been able to secure an interview....one of the nursing agencys tells me theres not much work innthe city of subs at the moment and is trying to convince me to go rural for a three month contract. Im unsure if this is just because there so desperate for rural nurse or if theres some truth in it?
Im a pysch nurse with 2 years post grad experience.
Can anyone shed a bit of light on how they found getting a job?
Cheers.

However, I would be approaching the hospitals direct, yourself, as recruiting through agencies is an unnecessary extravagance for HR departments....
