Hi, I am after some local knowledge, we have just moved in to Wello Point, and have a nearly 11 year old son who is desperate to join a local soccer team. We have phoned the clubs we have found online and all are saying he can't join or even try out until January. January is along way off for a desperate soccer mad boy can anyone offer any suggestions of local clubs?

Redlands in cleveland is one of the bigger ones. It is the off season - the season just finished, most clubs just gave out awards and the league final was last saturday- so you are kinda buggered. Redlands are doing off-season training, there is also a 5-aside league just starting.

There is also one in capalaba on the fields where kfC is as you drive into the city.

football brisbane is the website that regulates it all.

As Spalen says, it's the off season so it will be harder to find somewhere to play. I would call some of the local places and explain your situation and see if he can slot in with the off season training.

You can also play indoor at the ymca victoria point on Mondays. Not sure on the kids league, but the adult league is pretty continuous all year round. I'd ring because the email address is still the old manager.
