Jobs QLD

Hello Lovely People,
What is the job market like in Qld at the moment? I keep reading that Qld has one of the highest unemployment rates! I'm considering moving out in October but anxious about finding work! I'm a social worker and my husband is a residential construction project manager. Are things really that difficult?

Local ( Australian and State) experience is going to be required in any state for Residential construction manager and the associated Licences.

In Victoria ( melbourne ) knowledge and experience with the very powerful unions is also going to be one of the first questions.

Partner is from melb, moved to qld for work in this field and now we are back in melbourne he is still working in QLD. Has victorian and qld licences.

Does he have a trade qualification, would probably need to go back to that ( licences too ) then work back up to foreman then supervisor then manager.

Not sure at all about social work but search will bring up older threads on it.
