I have done some research on Internet about employment in Brisbane and Perth. I have found that the unemployment rate in Perth is a bit lower than Brisbane, BUT each time I compare the job sites (e.g. monsterboard or jobsearch.gov.au) there are in general much more jobs in Brisbane compared to Perth (although the cities are similar in size).

I would like to hear some opinions/experiences on this subject.

I suppose it pretty much depends on what you do! I have visited both Perth and and Brisbane and personally think that there is much more available in Brisbane. Perth is really nice and I have a lot of friends who are very happy there but it is isolated. Brisbane CBD may be around the same size however the Gold And Sunshine Coasts are commutable and it's ar eally lovely place to live.
