Re: Jobs for people on Whv
Yes i have tried seek but at the bottom of all the jobs is a paragraph that states you must have the right to work in Australia to apply for the job. Do you know if i can still apply for these?? I will do any sort of work to get me by.
Thankyou for your response |

Thankyou for your response You may well find that it is much easier to get casual work once you are here. Certainly in Cairns, there are noticeboards up aroud the hostels with job ads. Possibly the same in Brissy? There will be agencies that specialise in different types of employment & these will probably all advertise in the local papers, alternatively get hold of the yellow pages. Come prepared financially too though, just in case it takes longer than you would hope! Good luck & have fun! |

Once you're in Brisbane the local free papers tend to be a good source for casual jobs....you'll see a lot of 'Marketing' positions on commision only....not sure what this invovles. One that I remember was always looking was the AAPT sales call centre - they must've had a really high staff turnover though! |

Re: Jobs for people on Whv
My friends are on WHV and have had difficulties getting a job. I would reply to those "must have residency" anyway and explain you can work as some are only casual. I think this is automatically put on some jobs regardless. Couldn't hurt! Seek & careerone are pretty scarce at the moment.
they managed to get jobs coldcalling... |
