Default jobs outside Melbourne

Hi, we are looking at moving to Victoria in September!

Are there any towns outside Melbourne City which have IT companies based there?

What are the best newspapers to get regarding jobs in Victoria and Melbourne?

Where is everybody else looking at settling in Victoria, Melbourne?

Try looking on theage.com.au for jobs in and around Melbourne and property.
Cheers

Hi, I normally bypass the papers and look for work on www.jobnet.com.au, www.seek.com.au, jobserve.com.au

I know jobnet lists IT recruitment agencies in a directory, meybe you can check there to see if any are based outside Melbourne too

Otherwise "the Age" if you want a read.

It's hard enough to find work in Sydney and Melbourne in IT, let alone in rural Australia. The rural economy in Australia has been in recession for years.

Thanks all, it will give me something to do while i lock the kids up for the rest of the Easter hols.

I will check out Geelong, I don't think that we are ready to give up our rural wellies for city life just yet.

If we looked at places like Diggers rest, how long is the commute into Melbourne?. Also is commuting in Melbourne better than into London? We did this for a while and hated it..... sitting on the floor for an hour by the loo's whilst 8 months pregnant is no fun.
