Hi everyone,

Me and my girlfriend are wanting to move to Australia to live and work, my gf has already managed to secure herself a working visa as she can transfer to Australia with the company that she works for.

Me unfortunately its not that clear cut, because we want to get things moving quickly I am looking at getting a working holiday visa for a year, which is not perfect but at-least it get us both out there and apply for a skilled working Visa wile I am out there.

In the mean time I want to get my CV/resume out there and apply for some jobs.

So my question is and sorry for making you read all the above before getting this point

What are the best websites for Engineering jobs in Melbourne (my main field of expertise is steel fabrication and manufacturing engineering)

I would appreciate any comments or feedback on the above and thanks for taking your time to read it.

I'd basically say that there may be little point getting your CV out there until you're here. I'm sure you are aware of the work limitations of a working holiday visa (6 month rule) - you will not be applying for permanent jobs.

There are plenty of large scale manufacturing job losses in Vic at the moment - there might be a lot of competition in some sectors.
