On our visa application we have ticked both Queesland and Victoria and have filled in a skill matching form.

Can anyone tell us what the job situation is like in Brissie.

Andy will be looking for employment in pre-press graphic design/mac operator - general print.

Are there many design studios in Brisbane???????

Or will Melbourne be a safer bet - can anyone advise us?

Like with everyone getting a job is paramount - we have to think of the five kid's stability so we could do with a bit help with knowing where to relocate to and any suggestions (if anyone knows) where the work will be more plentiful in this field would be most appreciated.

Get Andy to set up his own business in Brissie, then he can give me a job I've always wanted to work in graphic design !!

On a more serious note Try getting the numbers of a few agencies over there and give them a ring a month or two before you go, see what they say.

There are absolutly loads of specialist design agencies in London so i would have thought there would be a couple in the major Oz cities.

I'm new to this site and upon flicking through all the threads noticed your husband was in the same game as mine. Just wondering how you go on? Did you go through TRA? How long did it take you? We are still waiting for news of TRA now. Would be handy to hear your ideas and any tips. We were registered with an employment agency in Melb for hubby but hardly had a response with jobs yet Sydney....plenty. Maybe we are going to review where to go (if we get in!)
