Job Search in Australia

Hello,

We have finally received our PR! That's one hurdle tackled but now we have to really buckle down to get viable jobs so we can actually immigrate!

My husband is the primary applicant and is a computational biologist. I work in IT. Does anyone have any suggestions/advice about how to go about the job search? Since, my husband's field is very specific and most research jobs are hard to come by, we have decided on hiring a headhunter. Does anyone know of any good scientific headhunters? Also, how does one verify that a recruiter is genuine and effective? We are still offshore and want to test the job market remotely initially before we decide to enter without jobs.
Any advice?

Thanks!!

Did you say "hiring" a headhunter?

How about approaching the CSIRO before the headhunting route?
