If anybody is looking to get a simple overview of job situation in Australia in their chosen field I found a website (posted below) which seems to give a good starting point.

just select the most suitable category. It also links you in to vacancies in that field.

You can also search on Skills shortages or job with good prospects if you dont mind re-training.
