Default job offer what next?

i'm about to take a course to become a qualified locksmith in england
which is on the SOL list.
providing i pass the course i've been offered a job in
australia but with no time served experience as a locksmith
will this count against me with immigration and if not which visa should i apply for.i've got no other qualifications or experience
of any other jobs on SOL list and no family in OZ.
any advice would be greatly recieved

PJ, just out of curiosity, how have you managed to get a job offer for a trade you dont yet have & when you do get it, with no experience?

I would think that you would migrate on the Business 457 class Employer sponsored visa (4 years), but I am a little bit confused to how it will be taken by immigration & whether it would even get past the initial application if you have been offered a job when you have no experience. If you are young enough have you considered a WHV (working holiday visa)? Only 1 year, but alot more flexible.

Im certainly no expert, someone else will probably be able to help more. Good luck .

i e-mailed locksmiths in oz explaining my situation and 1 offered me a job providing i pass the course(there must be a shortage of experienced locksmiths where they are)

Interesting PJ, do you know where they were located? If in fact there are a shortage of locksmiths as they have suggested then your chances of being sponsored & the visa being issued would be much higher I would imagine.

Oh yeah & I agree with Billy too, try posting on the immigration forum, you'll probably get alot better response than me whos just being nosey .
