job offer and skilled points
Can anyone clarify for me, whether you are entitled to any points on skilled apps: if you have a firm job offer.

I believe a verified written offer of employment will give you an additional 5 points. I'm sure an agent will you advise correctly.

......dont think so. My hubby has a job offer, and our agent said it didnt make any differance to the type of visa we are applying for. Skill 136

If you check the above it does say that if your occupation is on the MODL and you have a job offer it does give you an additonal 15 points instead of the normal 10 points without job offer.
I applied as a hairdresser which is MODL and I had a job offer giving me the extra points. However, I guess any occupation on the MODL doesn't need the extra job offer points as you get an extra 10 which puts you over the 120 anyway.
Check the website and it will give you a better idea.
