These are the $29 flights one-way on Virgin Blue, according to an email I just received.

Brisbane to Hobart
Brisbane to Newcastle
Brisbane to Rockhampton
Brisbane to Mackay

Been trying to get Suncoast to Melb for an hour now, looks sold out already, well if you want more than 1 seat. Dratt.

These deals dont last long then.

Flight centre only sent the email out about the $29 flights at 6.05pm QLD time

Some $29.00 seats were showing up, on less popular paths, like Mackay! and Hobart. Suncoast to Melb tho would be a big seller due to the thousands of Victorians that live up here, business people and anyone just wanting to shop or whatever.

I tried Virginblue for over 2 hrs last night, you could get a seat TO Hobart, but couldnt get one back! Not for the whole 2 months!

Anyway, we are now booked for a weeks holiday to Tassie with Jetstar. Happy campers.

Mackay would have been put in there because of the easy access to the reef I imagine.
