Wouldn't you rather be in Perth on a cold rainy winters day, then in England on a cold rainy summers day? I would!!!

feels it!!!!

mind you, winter here isnt too bad, at least we have lovely sunny days here and there to cheer us up. we have some insulation in the loft, more to go in (their idea of insulation is some wierd sheet stuff that does diddly squit!)

by next winter we will have a log burner so we wont have to worry about feeling cold

but you dont have a summer, just a hot wet season with sporadic sunshine, give me Perth's 9 months of Spring - Autumn beautiful weather anyday (although i'd rather be in Brisbane for winter...)

Ducted / zoned air-conditioning ensures that at our home at least that 'she'll be right!'

Haven't had one of those since 2003/04. And it's sunny for most of the day anyway, storms roll in late afternoon when its nearly dark anyway!

You don't even notice the humidity after the first week, and as for the odd summer storm - fantastic - sit on the deck with a glass of red, crank up the old gangajang classic http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ML9h3I5Uktw, and watch it roll in.

I've lived in a humid climate before and hated it. With you on the storms though - they are always spectacular.

I live on the south coast and we've had a lovely spring and summer
There have been days with rain which is a good thing as we need water to live but we certainly haven't had constant rain and cold.
I'm not that much further down than you.
