Are Java ICT professionals really in demand

Hi

I have been in Australia since some time now and have been constantly trying to find Java based ICT job. But I think reality is otherwise. Back in India I was easily able to secure multiple offers in short time but here in Oz it is even difficult to receive a call for an interview.

Has anybody gone through the similar experience. Please post.

Thanks

Put an Anglo name on your resume and I bet you'll get more interviews.

It depends on your experience - if you have lots of GOOD QUALITY experience in J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, SQL etc etc then you should be ok.

If you don't have any of that then you are probably stuffed to be honest.

The Java market in Australia is contracting as the relentless march of the Microsoft Toy languages continues.....
