As if sensing our imminent departure the washing machine is now trying to commit suicide, its starting making loud knocking noises and the screws holding the door in place have just fallen off.

So, any advise on a front loading washing machine that I can buy over here but will work in Oz and parts that are available, is Hoover or Zannussi (?) a recognised make???

Its a boring topic I know but life is sometimes like that on a Thursday lunchtime.

Crikey - I think I would be suicidal if my washing machine packed up - got a thing about washing! I must admit when we were there earlier this year the I did not recognise any of the brands that we used (3 different washers).

maybe someone who has made the move may be able to shed some light on this.

Thanks for that its a really good site, must agree with earlier comments on previous threads that toploaders are awful and will bring over a frontloader.

I find a wife is much better than a top loader or front Loader


I've tried top loaders in the states and being tall find a top loader easier to use.
