Its good to be beside the seaside

THE eastern seaboard is facing at least three days of extreme temperatures as hot dry winds from central Australia descend on the coast.
The worst-hit areas are expected to be Sydney and Brisbane, although Melbourne and Adelaide will also experience unseasonably high temperatures.
The main reason for the extreme temperatures is a trough running from central NSW up towards central Australia, which is expected to heat up over the next few days.
"It's a semi-permanent trough during summer, but basically everything east of that trough is going to get hot dry winds coming from central Australia," said David Alexander, a spokesman for the Bureau of Meteorology in Brisbane.
Temperatures in Sydney today are expected to be in their early to mid-30s, but tomorrow the mercury will rocket up to the low 40s in the western suburbs.
But coastal areas will get a sea breeze that will keep temperatures a bit cooler. Brisbane is expecting a high of 35C today, but this is forecast to go up to 38C tomorrow and Saturday, before coming back to 35C on Sunday and a cooling-off from the start of next week.
