Let's hope this is not the day we've all dreaded would come. Hope all the people in and around Lindt cafe are kept safe and their families have them home soon.

Yeah, this should be happening at Nakatomi Plaza, not Martin Place.

Police seem to be cordoning off most of the CBD, plus the Opera House has also been evacuated despite being over a kilometer away from the scene.

Apparently it's two nutters with a shotgun each. Arguably, had this happened in the US, they would have been in body bags by now...

OH has been in lockdown, but says that his office at least is being sent home by car- no trains from where he is at Circular Quay.
