On arrival in Oz do you feel isolated from the UK/rest of the world? How long does it take to get over it? Does culture shock hit in right away?

Everything just seems very different, and its kinda scarey being out of your comfort zone, and not having a bloody clue where anything is. It seems like a chore just going to get the simple weekly shop, because everything is not the 'norm' I didnt feel isolated from the UK as my friends kept textin me and askin what we were up to lol.

You are so busy in your first few weeks that it all just flies past in a blur, IMO its weeks down the line before you say...bloody hell we are on the other side of the world and we are stayin............its great!!!!!

Over 2 years on we still look at each other and say 'Struth mate we r in Australia"
