Irn-bru

Hi All,

just a silly question but very close to heart.

Can you get Barrs IRN-BRU in Brisbane, being Scottish I am addicted to the stuff and don't think I can travel to the other end of the world wothout some.

I previously worked for Barrs IRN-BRU as an engineer on the production lines, earlier this year i spoke to one of the factoy managers who happened to be just back from Brisbane as they had signed an agreement with a company to bottle IRN-BRU there and they sent them the moulds to blow the bottles also.
So if it is not already available then it will be soon i hope.

You can get it in Sydney in some of the major supermarkets like Woolworths. I also saw it a lot in Perth (I think it is made in WA).

The Diet version isn't very good, I think they use a different artificial sweetener (Dioet Coke isn't as nice over here either).

If you could just get Scottish chips!

There are 2 kinds over here , the imported nice kind :D , and the aussie made yuk kind! :eek:

There's a little corner shop round the corner from us in Manly (Bayside) that sells it, no dearer than the other fizzy stuff available.
