Investment Property WA
Looking around for small opportunities in WA to invest some money now I'm a permanent resident. Does anyone have a rental property? I've been looking at the possibility of 2 bed flats in the city (Murray Street area) and thinking that can't be a bad idea and quite tax friendly. Any more obvious areas elsewhere?

Looks like 6-7% ish is available and if there isn't any capital depreciation over the next three years or so then it should be a winner as interest rates will be way lower than that.

What % yield are you getting from the investment? Where have you invested ? Or are you using them to offset your income tax??

I'd look at Nedlands, Claremont, Mosman Park or Fremantle. All on the river and with several yacht clubs nearby. Lots of uni students to rent to at UWA, or hospital staff. Mosman Park and Fremantle also close to the beach. Good public transport and shopping.
