Introduction & Hi
Hi everyone, my wife and I have been reading the site from afar for a little while now and thought its about time we joined in as there seems so much useful banter and camoradarie (I think thats how you spell it !).
Its good to see so much support and help for those venturing down the migration route during which seems an incredibly stressful time for all concerned.
We are hopefully (funny how that word gets used alot on this site !!) migrating to Perth on a Skilled Australian Sponsored application. We started the process back in May, the day after returning from WA visiting family.
I have passed the Skills Assessment, after taking 6 weeks to write it and get it all signed off, once sent we got an answer in 3 weeks - hopefully (there I go again) this is a good sign ??
Anyway, the Main application went in and was received, informing us of a 50 week wait for an answer, making D-day mid-June next year
So, that's all from me as a virgin message. I'll/we'll try and be an active member and will be ahppy to share our experiences as we progress through the system.
Bye for now

Hi Warren!
You obviously enjoyed your time out in Perth- what did you think of it?
I am sure the move will be fairly straight forward, after all you have family to help out which is a good thing.
Welcome to the site

Welcome to you Warren and Wife.
A word of warning, once you start on here, you will be addicted.
We too are going to Perth and hopefully will be there by the end of October, but I know that I won't beable to break away from expats.

Thanks so far eveyone.
Perth was fantastic and although some say its very isolated we fell in love with the place, trying to live like Aussies during the time we were there. We travelled alot visiting family on a sheep farm East of Geralton - that was a real experience and once which we will never forget as we chased wild roos (see I'm learning the lingo) off the property !!
I have many cousins as well as some older rellies out there which will hopefullu make the move somewhat easier...time will tell.
