Hi Tanya,
Good question. What is the deal with pets ? Has anyone else taken their cat/dog/rabbit over ?
I just know I'm going to be racked with guilt leaving our cat behind for even a month...

hi Tanya,

welcome to the madhouse. Can't help you with the rabbit but I will hazard a guess that it'll be damm complicated and you might be best leaving it in Holland - probably less traumatic for it as well !!

Where abouts in the Netherlands are you from ? I used to work in Schagen near Den Helders for 3 years.

Best wishes

Warren

You may not want to take it to Queensland where the fine for keeping rabbits has increased to $30,000.

Hoi Tanja

As I said before , you can't import rabbits......

Though, all in all that's a good thing... well, it would've been if the English never imported them in the first place!
Now, I don't think it matters much anymore, they've taken over!!!

AQIS says you can only import live companion rabbits from New Zealand.... and then it's a lot of trouble!!!!!

I know Maastricht Airport very well. Do the security/customs staff there all still go home before the last flight comes in ?

The last couple of times I flew in, there was no one to check passports etc, we just walked straight through from a UK flight.

Visited Hoensbroek a few times.

Yes I did like it. I have family there, a Dutch Step-mum, but don't get to visit too often now
