Interstate shipping - insurance
Can anyone recommend a company for insuring goods shipped interstate? We used Insure Your Move to ship to Australia, so someone like them over here. Have tried the internet but it seems difficult to get a straightforward quote. Shipping companies are quoting us 3.3% which seems very high.

we used the companies own insurance, it was expensive but less hassle. You can look at moving insurance Australia I think they were called. we moved from Melbourne to Sydney.

Are you moving a glass house?
I shipped all my stuff from Singapore and in the end I ditched the insurance altogether. Everything arrived safe and sound - even kitchenware and the tv.

Did the insurance through the shipping company. Go the mould insurance. We had a number of things covered in mould and insurance came to the party.

Thanks for the replies. Yes, am thinking we may only insure the more expensive pieces of furniture etc if we can - not really bothered if a few knick knacks get broken.
