RBA to hike rates to 5.25 per cent next week: economists
Friday, 28 Nov 2003 12:59PM
The Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) would raise interest rates by another 0.25 per cent next week given the strengthening domestic and global picture, according to economists.

The RBA lifted rates by 0.25 per cent to 5.00 per cent on November 5, saying the local and global economic picture was improving and noting the housing market continued to be buoyant.

Housing affordability has gone down 20% in the last year. Badge don't get too down about it as rent is cheap and if sense hits the market you will be able to get something. Prices are steady and auction clearances are dropping. It is slowly becoming a buyers market.
