The link doesn't work or you can't get TPG? If you mean TPG then they may not have a DSLAM in your local exchange. You're not on a RIM are you? Usually has a way of checking on the ISP website. Worth checking back sometimes as these things change.

Re: internet?
you wont really find any unlimited like you did in the UK but some packages in the last year have grown big so they feel almost unlimited.
iinet are a good example I think they went from 70gb to 250gb recently, good service to. Also if you do any downloading iinet have been fighting the tv and movie companies in the courts the last few years, they won, but are now being appealed against.
So they are willing to go to bat for their customers

Dont be fooled into thinking you wont need a high volume account. If you havent seen Australian broadcast TV yet (very poor quality in terms of content and technical delivery) you'll soon realise that decent internet is a MUST. 2 hours of decent quality TV per night downloaded is 60GB per month - add in some 'buffer' and you can see pretty quickly how you'll need at least a 100GB.p.m account.
As far as phones go - be cautious. Lots of ADSL accounts will require you to have a phone line, Telstra will rob you blind for about $30 a month for the line. There are 'naked ADSL' plans available which dont require an active phone line, but these are typically more expensive and at high volumes usually dont make econimic sense. If you intend making phone calls, I'd recommend looking at a seperate VOIP provider from your ISP. MyNetfone have a good $5 a month plan that includes all calls that meets all our needs(including untimed calls to UK) - Other people have had good experiences with Pennytel who offer a similar VERY cheap service. If you think you cant be bothered with VOIP then you're more than likely going to pay at least 5-10 TIMES as much for your phone calls.
All your questions on this topic are best addressed in appropriate forums weher all telco matter are discussed at great length and you can use various tools on the site to determine what plans are available in your area:

Re: internet?
A word of warning. I live in the northern burbs of Sydney and because of the distance I am from the X-change I am unable to get ADSL or 2 or any other wire connection and have to use mobile broadband which is heaps more expensive and has a limited data cap. SUCKS!!!
So worth checking what can be provided before a decision is made.

Hi
I agree with MrJenkins, see where you are going to stay then check what companies offer coverage in that area. The internet in Oz is not as consistent as the UK.

Re: internet?
Just to reiterate... I'm with IInet... could consider TPG but haven't got near my 400g download quota in months now and IInet are more reliable than TPG apparently.
The main saving is the Voip though... especially if you have a house full of kids like us and they are making lots of Mobile calls from home. Thats when Pennytel Voip really comes into it's own. I'm probably saving at least 100 bucks per month... maybe more on mobile calls... plus I dont have to worry about one of those shock bills as the credit stops on the mobiles and wont work when it reaches the 500 minute or 150 call limit..... unless I top it up. Only time I've had to top it up is when the Oldest Daughter is back in the house.
So 89 bucks for the 400 gigs (unlimited in my book as it slows to 250Kb's at quota limit) plus the 18.88 bucks per month for unlimted calls to 70 countries and the 500 mins or 150 mobile calls with pennytel.
