How long is a piece of string? It depends on how much you want to insure for and what the individual companies premiums on that amount is. Even some banks, credit unions, building societies etc, now promote different types of insurance policies. It is easier to see on the websites or contact compaines direct when you get here, or a professional insurance broker for advice.

I have life insurance through my superannuation account (pension) and I pay $1 per unit per month for $60,000 cover. I currently have 8 units per month ($8) so that's $480,000 for total permanent disablement or death. But you can obviously pay more and get more.
