Smile insurance ???

What's the best type of insurance to get when you leave the UK...??

We will just have a few suitcases, a bit of cash and maybe a laptop...our initial stay will be at some sort of holiday/caravan park..??

What sort of cover will we need..??

Corker,

I'm assuming you mean one way emmigration rather than a validation trip or holiday.

If that's correct check out this......

Some people gamble and take no insurance.
Others just use the limited cover offered by some credit cards.
Some take the cheaper insurances that only cover you up to the point you land at destination.

I took insurance that covered us for 17 days after arrival which is said to be the time period for Medicare to kick in. I used Go Walkabout.

Our thought was that after all the large expense of making the move why gamble on this last item which in relative terms is cheap for peace of mind.

It's a personal opinion thing of course.
