Insane or inspired?

Are there any other single parents considering emmigrating?

Sometimes I feel that, if not an insane idea, then I am just being totally irresponsible!

I am the only breadwinner and I am risking a secure job and a reasonably nice house for a life on the other side of the world where I have no home to go to and there is no certainty that I will be able to find employment and continue to support myself and my son!

Maybe I should not be greedy for more and be satisfied with what I have?

why should you be satisfied ?. you only get one life so if it's your dream and you have the determination then why not give it a shot.
good luck jonni

Perhaps you should contact employment agencies and employers in your field in OZ and find out what your chances of getting a job and how much it pays.

Hi,

If it makes you feel any better you're not the only one. I'm going on my own with 3 kids :scared: :D

If it comforts you, I am the only providing bread for mine (my wife has decided to stay home with the children regardless of my cries to her so she goes back to work), we have three and one more on the way, I have a good job, in a solid company and I am currently in the US. That gives an idea of the madness in this world.

Cheers. :)

Go with what your heart says, have a back up plan too just in case but nothing ventured and all that.

I think similar threads have been done on this subject, maybe worth a search.

Good luck :)
