Initial Entry Date ????????

Default Initial Entry Date ????????

Can anyone help me just had grant through (as you know posted two days ago ) now how chance to read it had head in clouds!!
It says visa holders must make their initial entry to Australia as holders of a Class BN Subclass 136 Skilled - Independent by no later than 30th March 2007!!!!!!!!
Slightly worried about this as house not on market yet done nothing at all till we knew we got visa
Can anyone explain procedure please xxxxxxx :scared:

when were your meds and police checks done???? they normally go by whatever was done first

Police checks sent with app in june did them in december o5 as needed to look at them as hubby was a naughty boy in his younger days.

normally you get 12months from the date they were done, did you get them back march this year?

No sent for them beginging of december got back 31st of december sent them on 18th june with application.

It doesn't mean you have to move over to Oz permanently by that date. So, if the house hasn't sold by then, go over for a holiday (called a "visa validation trip"). Then come back to the UK, and when the house has sold move over for good.

Congratulations on getting the visa.

You all have to enter the country by that date to validate your visas. You could have a rekkie first then come back & put the house on the market, which is what we did. Think you then have upto 5 years to go.

5 year clock starts ticking the date the visa is granted, not validated.

And it's really "not smart" to leave it too late. For a simple life it's important to clock up 2 years in Australia within the 5 years, so as to easily get a Resident Return Visa (or become a citizen before needing one).
