Initial Entry
 

Hi everyone,
We are coming to Melbourne at the end of November and this might seem like a stupid question but...

What happens on initial entry? Do you need any other documents etc..
Sorry sometimes the most simple things need explaining..

heading over in a couple of weeks and i was told just to turn up with your passport with visa in it.
all other info they require is on their computer system.

Just you and and the visa in your passport .......oh! and of course the red carpet and fireworks !! which is what you feel should happen instead you get some grumpy old customs officer check the computer and then grunts at you ...Sorry!

Easy as ABC just turn up and get the all important stamp - the only thing to remember is whomever got the visa (my husband in our case) must get his stamp first to show he actually entered before you then its all legal !!
