Hi.

I’m looking for some IT contract salary advice. I have been offered a contract with a company in Melbourne – IT Infrastructure Engineer.

I have 5 yrs experience doing similar stuff, with the rate at around $50 per hour.

Does anyone know the current market rate for IT Infra roles in Melb?

Mate, $50 ph for a contractor would be at the lower end. "Engineer" is such a vague term.

Normally here contractors are paid a day rate, infrastructure techs would earn between $600 and $1500 per day depending on specialization and experience.
