I am a diesel fitter taking most of my tools with me (sockets, spanners) etc and I know they have to be very clean but I was just wondering if anyone else has taken over air ratchets and oxy acetylene equipment or is it best not too take this.I don't intend on taking the bottles just the regulators, and pipes etc. any help will be great. thanks Andy

True..you won't be able to ship the gas bottles for obvious reasons. I would definitely bring all your tools. As much as a lot of tools are really quite cheap here compared to Uk, some things are dearer and if you've already got them and filling a container...why not. If you're going to pack in small crates and pay through the nose for shipping it might not be worth it. I spent a lot of time cleaning all the tools with a wire brush on a bench grinder and then sprayed everything with WD40. I really don't think that grease and oil is a problem. It's when it things like shovels and rakes covered with garden soil. Even rust is not really an issue as there's already tons of that in oz.
