Hi everyone,

i was wondering if they do actually request a full medical for your PR. i've read somewhere that sometimes they only request chest x-ray.

Can anyone who's gone through this clarify.

If you are applying for a PR visa they usually require a full medical and chest xray .

We are a family of six, we all had medicals, 9yr old just had check over by doctor, my 12yr and 13yr old had check over and chest x-ray. whilst my 15yr old, OH and self had check up, x-rays and blood tests done. hope this helps.

We had to have a medical, blood test and chest x ray. Theres nothing to it really. The doc checked weight, height, blood pressure, reflexes and checked urine. Our 2 year old just had his height and weight checked and he felt up his spine, that was it. Hope this helps.

for some reason the thought of it makes me nervous
they make it sound so serious. would they really refuse your visa on medical grounds?

Yes they could do, but it depends on whats wrong.

I was really nervous I expected my blood pressure to be through the roof, but honestly you'll be fine. The only thing he said is that Marks is overweight by 3 1/2 stone which is rediculous as hes built like a brick ****house and would look ill if he lost that much.
