Here's some information regarding the processing times for IT professionals who have already applied to the Australian HC in London.

We have just received our confirmation letter from the HC granting us our independent visa subclass 136.

Sent documents/papers/etc to ACS - 3 July 2001
Received positive response from ACS - 1 August 2001
Sent visa application form (47SK) to London - 14 August 2001
Received confirmation of receipt - 25 September 2001
Sent in Police certificates - 15 October 2001
Received confirmation of receipt - 23 October 2001
Sent in Medicals and X-ray results - 6 November 2001
Received confirmation of receipt - 12 November 2001
Received letter granting visa - 17 November 2001
Sent off passports to London - 17 November 2001

So all-in-all, by the time we get our passports back, the total time taken from beginning to end will be approximately 5 months :-)

Thanks for the posting the IT Visa info, I sent off my 47SK (inc. Police forms) on
1st October 2001, the cheque was cashed on 8th October 2001 & I have not yet had
confirmation of receipt yet!

Anyone else send forms in around this time & heard anything back from London?
