Immunisation record register
Hi,
I have 2 kids (4 and 1 years old). We are going to relocate to OZ soon. I'm aware we need to provide Immunization record for enrolling school. However, I don't know how serious the document need to be...I mean whether it is enough to ask my current government agent to print out the record or I need to verify the record... anyone have experience regarding to this matter? Thank you for your help in advance. oradba |

Re: Immunisation record register
you also want to keep immunisation for the one yr old up to date after arrival to the 2nd birthday, then you are entitled (I'm assuming you will be PR for this) to about $200 back from government. You should ensure that the Drs or council (locally we could go to council for free immunisation session once a month - only free of consultation charge if Dr bulk bills) up dates your record for all the immunisation to date, which then can be checked through medicare website (have to register) which a printout, I would assume, would be a good enough record for schools as an alternative to the red book.
The local childcare I take my DD to accepted the red book, no worries. btw locally they don't replace the red book (have a feeling others have) which is equivalent to the local blue book. |
Re: Immunisation record register
when i enolled my children unto school i just had the medical records the doctor printed off for me and we had no problems with enrollment

We have just handed in our red books to our local doctors and they are going to sort out an update programme for our children. Ages 3 and 18 months. Medicare office gave us an immunisation record form that the doctor is to sign once they are up to date. I believe the MMR is given earlier in the UK so they like to give a booster here as they don't feel it gets full effect at the ages given. The other one I think is chicken pox vaccine.
