Immigration - HELP
My husband applied for a position in Australia back a few months ago thinking nothing of it really - basically we were contacted by them to fill in a criminal history check form, which he has done, and today have been sent an email by the company to inform us that their specialist immigration company will be contacting us asap to ask us for lots of different information, such as cv's, pasports for the whole family, police certificates etc. They have basically said that he's been offered the job subject to passing through immigration, to be fair they have said not to resign from his current position until he's been told his visa's on the way, does anyone have any idea how long this process would take, would it be quicker because it's the company's own specialist immigration company?? They have said the immigration company will ask us to email various letters, cv's to them before forwarding all the information to ensure it's what they want and all the right information is included.
How scary, any information would be helpful !

Welcome to the forum, not sure if your application will be fast tracked and if so by how much (normally takes about 50 weeks) but I'm sure someone else will know. Just thought someone should reply as 56 people have viewed your post.
Maybe you should try posting this in the Immigration section as this is the Lifestyle and Culture section?
Good luck, getting a job first is a good start!
