Backing up a database as MONSTROUS as B.E must be a logistical nightmare, not forgetting transferring of mysql databases and stuff.

I was halfway thru doin a huge , how can we all help post yesterday and the bleedin thing died on me.

It would appear all has gone Brilliantly with no apparent loss of posts.

Paul and Sue do a very good job in my opinion, offering a very good site for free or cheap. This has been confirmed by the anguish suffered on the rare occasion the site isn't available

You know WM im amazed sometimes at the generosity some ppl put into things, and the pure drain it can be on finances and time.

Running a site like this must COST an arm and a leg.

The bandwidth alone must be ENORMOUS.

I am bewildered that 44 views of this post and only 1 genuine reply.

Im absolutely stunned they managed to transfer to another server with so little disruption.

Mamboforge and mambo , both Number 1 sites in the world have both TOTALLY crashed this week, and all I have seen in retorical forums is WTF are they playin at, ffs to some FREE isnt FREE without a backhander

My son has just sold one of his websites a tutorial forum for photoshop.

He just could NOT justify the server charges for bandwidth, which was 160 gig per month.

Huzza and I did the same. We celebrated getting our TRA back, felt a little frustrated that we could not get on BE to tell all but knew the super team would have it back on sooner or later. They do a cracking job, this site has got us through a real rough patch with our family so Cheers! to all who run the BE machine and thanks xxxxxxxxxxx
