Im new here..Brisbane bound hopefully!
 

Hi everyone!

Just found this website. We are hoping to move to Brisbane, or surrounds next year. We are in the process of applying for Visas and waiting for our skills assessment to come back from Vetasses. Is anyone else Brisbane bound or in a similar boat? Id love to hear from you all! Will be logging on frequently in the next few months. Wish us luck.

I do have a question actually! We are having to pay the aud$100,000 to get the extra 5 points, but we need to sell our house first to raise the capital. Obviously we wont sell till we know if we are in or not..how soon do you have to pay the money?

I am not in same situation as you but did a search and turned up this thread from the immigration forum.

It will give you something to think about ref raising the bond in time.

It seems that the bond is requested sometime after the meds and police checks.

Someone please confirm this point :)
