Just looking on the Whirpool forums it seems it has something to do with Outage - whatever that means!

If you are on broadband, then Telstra have had a major stuff-up trying to upgrade their systems, that have affected broadband through pretty much all ISP's nationwide (again).

This outage seems to be connected with login authentification, and not specifically email

What do people in Oz think of iinet. I was thinking of getting an account with them when we get there in two weeks time.

Compared to the other WA ISP's, iinet are pretty good. You can get all the pricing info from their web site http://www.iinet.net.au/

I actually worked for them for a grand total of four days but we fell out and I was forced to flounce out in a massive sulk so my advice would be to use their services but don't work for them

On Thursday IINet had a National Outage.

I'm an IT consultant and I wouldn't recommend IINet to anyone. Their bloody expensive and their customer service is second only to Bigpond for being crap.

For anyone in WA who wants reliable Internet access and decent customer servce, westnet is the way to go.
