What subject? Info Security/eBusiness/IT.

The course consultant told me Group of Eight (The University of Adelaide, The Australian National University, The University of Melbourne, Monash University, The University of New South Wales, The University of Queensland, The University of Sydney and The University of Western Australia) are TOP 8 university in Australia. Is that true?

RMIT is it good?

I know little of your subject i am afraid, but all of the universities you have listed have good reputations.

The ones I would highlight in your list are Uni of Adelaide, Uni of Melb and the Aus National. Flinders uni in Adelaide has a pretty good reputation aswell.

Regards

Pete.

Thanks Pete.

If you were to study in Uni of Adelaide, Uni of Melb, will you chose to pay full fee or defer fee or apply HELS (undergrad), PELS (postgrad).

If you can afford to pay up front you will save yourself years of a smaller pay packet, as the deductions will normally come out of a pay as you earn system. I am not sure if there is any interest accrued on the HECs system. It might be cheaper to pay upfront too?

Word of warning......for a foreigner, aus unis are very expensive...

I was recently looking into this, and came across a great course (there are a few others) at Edith Cowan University in Perth.

The title of the course (it is a taught Masters and can be undertaken fully in on-line mode) is "Master of Information Security and Intelligence". ECU have a good reputation as being a practical, industy-focussed uni, and you will learn practical skills on courses with direct paths into the real world. This course aims to get you into information security, police, specialist government, or consulting roles.

Full details at: http://www.scis.ecu.edu.au/courses/pgrad/m_isi.asp

or for other courses at ECU:

I intend to take Master of Information Security. Unfortrunately University of Melbourne don't offer this course. RMIT offer this course.

Any comment on RMIT.
